Parametric design means dimensions and parameters can easily be adjusted β ideal if you want variations on the same model later.
Input formats
We can work with various input formats:

- Technical drawings (PDF, DWG)
- Existing 3D models (STL, STEP, OBJ) β for modifications
- Sketches, photos or descriptions
Technical drawings
Important advantage: A detailed technical drawing with dimensions and tolerances leads to:
- Faster design
- Lower cost
- More accurate model
- Fewer revision rounds
No technical drawing? No problem β a clear photo with dimensions is sufficient in many cases.
Limitations
To set realistic expectations:
- Very complex organic shapes (such as faces) take more time and are harder to estimate
- Extreme precision (< 0.1mm tolerances) depends on the printer and material
- Reverse engineering without technical drawings or reference measurements is more complex and costly
